PLANNING BOARD MINUTES-DRAFT
On January 5, 2017 the regular meeting of the Springfield Planning Board was held at the community center.
Present:
Priscilla Barry, Laura Sikkema, Justin Hobbie, Gretchen Sorin, Rob Freeland
Jeannette Armstrong
Willard Harman, Michelle Kennedy-absent
Barry called the meeting to order at 7 PM.
At the first meeting, it was necessary to elect a new Chairman and Vice-chairman.
(At the December 2016 Town Board Meeting, Laura Sikkema was appointed as a permanent member of the Planning Board and Willard Harman was moved to the alternate position since his term expired on December 31, 2016 as a regular board member.)
A motion was made by Barry and seconded by Freeland to appoint Laura Sikkema as the new Chairwoman for 2017. She said she would do the best that she could to serve the community. Voted, carried, all votes aye.
A motion was made by Hobbie and seconded by Freeland to appoint Priscilla Barry as Vice-chairwoman. Voted, carried, all votes aye.
A motion was made by Sikkema and seconded by Freeland to approve the November 2016 minutes. Voted, carried, all votes aye.
A motion was made by Hobbie and seconded by Freeland to approve the December 2016 minutes. Voted, carried, all votes aye.
A motion was made by Hobbie and seconded by Sorin that any other minutes that have not been approved, will remain unapproved. Voted, carried, all votes aye.
Elsey said that the board members needed to pursue the training requirements. Webinars were discussed and possible sessions at the community center.
The Zoning Board of Appeals requirements were discussed.
A motion was made by Hobbie and seconded by Freeland to adjourn the meeting at 7:25 PM. Voted, carried, all votes aye.
