PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
The regular meeting of the Springfield Planning Board
was held on July 6, 2017 at the community center.
Present were:
Laura Sikkema, Gretchen Sorin, Rob Freeland
and town attorney Michelle Kennedy
Guests:
Harry Levine
Laura Sikkema called the meeting to order at 7 P.M.
There was no land use report.
There was no public comment.
A motion was made by Freeland and seconded by Sorin to
approve the minutes of the June meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
New Business
Sorin asked about training on the new Land Use
law. Michelle Kennedy noted that the new
Land Use law passed and is in effect.
She also said that the Lake Law and the Site Plan Review needed to be
repealed by the Town Board and she proposed that the best thing to do would be
to spend about 20 minutes each meeting discussing the various sections of the
new law.
Laura Sikkema asked Gretchen Sorin about the letter
for St. Mary’s. She noted that she provided the minutes of the meeting during
which St. Mary’s was approved to Sorin.
Sorin commented that the minutes of the meeting are sufficient and she
forwarded them to Stewart Anderson who will use them to get the building permit
for the ramp and bathroom addition.
There was some discussion about updating the paperwork
provided to applicants.
Since there was no additional business a motion was
made by Freeland and seconded by Sorin to adjourn the meeting at 7:20. The
motion passed unanimously.
