PLANNING BOARD MEETING-DRAFT
On December 7, 2017 the regular meeting of the Springfield Planning Board was held at the community center.
Present were:
Laura Sikkema, Rob Freeland, Priscilla Barry, Gretchen Sorin
Jeannette Armstrong, Michelle Kennedy
Guests: none
Sikkema called the meeting to order. At 7:05 PM.
The planning board members thanked Justin Hobbie for his services on the board in consideration of his appointment to the Zoning Board of Appeals. A motion was made by Barry and seconded by Sorin to request that Hobbie present a formal letter of resignation. Voted, carried, all votes aye.
The land use report for December was read aloud by Sikkema. (Enclosed)
There was some discussion about the number of trees cut and the excavation taking place at Lake N Pines. Sheri Falcone will be advised to inspect the site.
A motion was made by Sorin and seconded by Freeland to open discussion and close public comment. Voted, carried, all votes aye.
A motion was made by Freeland and seconded by Sorin to approve the October minutes. A motion was made by Barry and seconded by Freeland to approve the November minutes. Voted, carried, all votes aye.
There was an attempt to hold a ZBA meeting but it did not take place because one of the three members was unable to attend, so a quorum wasn’t possible. Another meeting may be scheduled before the end of the year. Two pending applications were discussed briefly. When the variance decisions are made by the ZBA, Assessor Falcone will make the planning board aware of it.
A motion was made by Barry and seconded by Freeland to adjourn the meeting at 7:35 PM. Voted, carried, all votes aye.
